About the roleOnline Maths Tutor · $27.50–$45/hr · fully remote

What tutoring with us looks like
One-to-one lessons on Google Meet with a shared whiteboard, usually 1 hour, the same student every week.
Most students are in Years 5–12, often a bit behind or a bit anxious about maths. The best tutors find out what the student is thinking, explain why, and stay patient when they're stuck.
After each lesson you write short notes for the parent. We train you on all of it, and you're paid for training.
Video 1: About you (60–90 seconds, 2 min max)
Video 2: A mini-lesson (2–3 minutes, 4 min max)
We show you a real student mistake, picked for the levels you teach (you can switch to another one).
You get 1 minute to plan, then you teach it on our built-in whiteboard while we record the board, your voice and a small video of you.
Write on the screen (a mouse or trackpad is fine, a drawing tablet is better), or use your iPad or phone: whiteboard with your finger or pencil, or paper and pen filmed by its camera. We're judging your explaining, not your handwriting.
You can record either video on your phone or iPad instead: we'll show you a QR code. You can re-record each video once. We're not judging lighting or polish; we want to see how you connect and explain.
